JOB SUMMARY: The Event Closing Associate is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests during
events. The primary role of this position is to be of assistance to our guests and to monitor the facility. This includes,
but is not limited to, ensuring that our guests have what they need at all times and the facility and grounds are secure.
Close events and winery at the end of the evening. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRE-EVENT: Bring in all tasting room merchandise to be placed on plastic grey rolling cart hidden in wine inventory.
Turn away any guests who arrive for wine tasting after we have closed. Let them know that they can return the
following day at 11:00 a.m.
DURING EVENT: Bring in two black sandwich board signs from the parking lot. Set out yellow flood lights for the parking
lot once everyone is seated for dinner. Pick up any cigarette/cigar butts and dispose of them throughout the evening.
Make sure that the restrooms are stocked with toilet paper and seat covers.
POST EVENT: Take umbrellas down, bring in floodlights, close all barn doors and shut off all barn lights. Check to make
sure that kitchen and tasting room is thoroughly cleaned by catering staff. Check property for any personal items left
behind and place in catering area for pick-up. Close sliding window in tasting room. Bring back all tasting room
merchandise hidden in wine inventory on the grey cart. Recycling can be placed in dumpster behind the barn. Any leftover
alcohol should be placed in the kitchen for client pick-up the next day. No alcohol can be taken off-site post event.
Lock all doors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be available to work on-call, Fridays through Sundays.
Extended hours may be required. Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Must possess
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to provide exceptional guest service and
represent our brands in a positive manner. Must be able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks. Hospitality experience
and wine knowledge preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required. Certificate in hospitality and safe food and
beverage service preferred. Catering experience a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be fluent in English. Bilingual/multilingual preferred.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to effectively analyze situations and make sound decisions. Able to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to create solutions in response to any issues that come up during an event.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift/move/carry/push/pull 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Required to use hands,
arms and fingers on a continuous basis. Must be able to see, listen, hear, and speak. Must be able to stand and walk for
prolonged periods of time. May be required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb a ladder. The physical demands

incumbent will travel to multiple locations throughout Sonoma and Mendocino County to perform these
duties. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. This position is full-time, Monday through

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent is responsible for performing various vineyard maintenance duties in a safe and efficient
manner. Duties may include, but are not limited to, pruning, tying, sucker removal, planting vines and
picking grapes during harvest.
Must be at least 18 years of age and able to safely and effectively operate various tools and equipment.
Must be able to lift/move/carry up to 80 lbs. on a repetitive basis. Must be able to understand
instructions and execute them in an accurate and timely manner. Must be able to work independently,
with little or no supervision at times. Must be available to work extended hours when needed and take
proper care of equipment.
Vineyard experience preferred
Fluent in Spanish. Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: As part of the Wilson Artisan Wineries family, the Tasting Room Sales Associate /Marketing Associate
at Soda Rock Winery is responsible for providing the front line guest experience by developing relationships that
promote the sale of wine and increase brand loyalty. Ensure that our guests have what they need at all times. Perform
marketing duties as outlined below. Other duties may be assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that all guests are greeted immediately upon entry into the tasting room.
Encourage all guests to join our wine club.
Communicate in a knowledgeable, professional and gracious manner to all guests.
Maintain the physical environment of the tasting room by ensuring that all displays of wine products are
attractive and well-maintained.
ID guests to ensure they are of legal age to consume alcohol.
Serve samples of wine in both individual and group settings.
Share information and educate guests about the Soda Rock wines, brand history and sister wineries.
Promote the sale of wine products in the tasting room, pursue sales opportunities and encourage customers to
buy Soda Rock wines.
Accurately operate POS registers and other winery systems to transact sales and maintain tasting room
inventory. Accurately complete end of day reports and reconcile daily sales and post transactions.
Demonstrate personal accountability in following all company policies and procedures.
Perform opening and closing procedures, which includes but is not limited to: setup and breakdown of tables,
chairs, umbrellas and all items related to the tasting room functions.
Ensure cleanliness by performing housekeeping of the winery grounds and tasting room (includes outdoor areas,
tasting bar and restrooms).
Maintain physical inventory of merchandise items and restock the wine in the tasting room.
Demonstrate initiative and willingness to work events and complete special projects.
Work cooperatively with the Sales Manager, Wine Club, Back Office Coordinator and all tasting room staff.
Perform outreach efforts by phone, email, social media and in person.
Create collateral marketing materials to highlight all visual aspects of the Tasting Room and grounds.
Schedule Outreach tastings in partnership with local hotels to increase visibility while branding Soda Rock as a
wine tasting experience, hosting events & weddings and build relationship with concierges.
Create graphic designs and perform audio and visual filming/pictures to post on our website. (This week at Soda

Create and post Social Media postings on Facebook and Instagram. Contact bloggers with pertinent tidbits on
what’s up at Soda Rock.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

sales and customer service experience (must be able to present product, up sell and cross sell). Must possess
interpersonal awareness and the ability to persuade others. RBS & food safety certificate preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be fluent in English (speak/read/write). Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to accurately operate a POS system and make change from the register.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and social media required. Experience with POS applications
